Niskayuna Warriors 9U defeated East Fishkill 4-1 on Tuesday in Poughkeepsie after taking the lead late in the game. Down 1-0 in the bottom of the 5th, Nisky’s Jackson Horner pinch hit hitting a triple. Dillon Wood proceeded to earn a walk via hit by pitch. Will Souza re-entered the game as a pinch runner for Dillon. After the runner at first stole second, Matthew Hand hit a sacrifice fly to deep right to score Jackson, and advance the runner at second to third. Braden Fields then stepped up and delivered a hard ground ball to the third baseman. Will Souza ran on contact, and expertly slid under the tag for Nisky to take the lead 2-1. Cam Grasso then stepped up to the plate, pulling a line drive to the 225 foot fence for a 2 run, inside the park home run to put Nisky up 4-1.
